The Perfect Princess Room

Author: Perhaps it is fed by the Disney revolution, but Cinderella , Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine are the role models of many little girls. The happily-ever-after stories of courage and independence leave girls wishing they were princesses too. And every princess, whether she lives in a castle in a far away land or three-bedroom house in the suburbs, needs a princess room.
There are a lot details that can go into creating the perfect princess room, but they will depend a lot on the princess.
The first decision that needs to be made is the color. The traditional colors are pink and purple; however any color from green to yellow to orange can be incorporated into the perfect princess room. The easiest way to decide on the perfect colors is to first find the right bedding set . There are many to choose from — some with frills and lace, some more fun and modern, and some with the classic Disney princesses right on them.
Once the bedding set has been picked out, it is much easier to decide which colors would be best on the walls. Painting the walls gives the room a more complete look. You can paint all of the walls or just select one to be an accent wall. Adding a wallpaper border or stenciling a matching design or the princess’ name can build upon the color and add to the room.
The next area to address is the windows. Many bedding sets come with matching window valences that you can use to do dress up next day blinds . Complimenting curtains are also an option. Finally, it’s time to add the finishing touches . This is where the true personality of the princess can shine. Allow her to have input in selecting pictures for the walls, a table lamp, and other fun accessories. The possibilities are endless as long as they reflect the heart of the princess.
