Hydration
The importance of proper hydration is coming to a greater awareness in recent times. Many people, it is recognized, do not got an appropriate amount of liquids to achieve proper hydration on a daily basis. Drinking of sodas, sugar laden soft drinks, coffee, energy drinks and other high caffeine content drinks actually do not count to your overall hydration needs as these drinks introduce diuretics or substances requiring a great amount of fluid to metabolize and thus using more of the bodies liquid than replacing it. Many common ailments can be exasperated due to inadequate hydration. Frequently when appropriate hydration is achieved the ailment will go away or lessen in severity. The body needs water to process toxins out of the foods we eat and liquids we drink. Not taking in enough water taxes these systems putting strain on the kidneys and liver. No matter where you are no mater the temperature drinking enough water daily is important. It doesn’t matter if your hiking the Grand Canyon, working at your office, relaxing at best Hong Kong hotels drinking water is very important. There are those that recommend drinking water with a small amount of Celtic sea salt dissolved in it. The mixture is supposed to be a quarter teaspoon of Celtic sea salt to a liter of water. There is a slight saltiness to the water with the Celtic sea salt in it but it isn’t that bad. The solution is supposed to be super hydrating as the Celtic sea salt contains trace amounts of elements and minerals that aid in the bodies hydration. The recommended amount of this solution to drinking daily is one half your body weight number in ounces. For example a person weighing 100 lbs. should be drinking 50 oz of water daily. There is continued research on this subject, but no one disagrees that hydration is very important for the body to function properly and process toxins and foods we consume. So if your not into putting Celtic sea salt in your water just drink plenty of plain water then.
